Binge Or Cringe, She Review: This Imtiaz Ali Show Will Keep You On The Edge Of Your Seats!
Netflix's new show She, created by Imtiaz Ali is high on suspense and it will keep you hooked right till the end
The story of She revolves around the life of Bhumika Pardeshi (Aditi Pohankar), a lower middle class Marathi girl who works for the Mumbai police. Her life isn’t as exciting but she is somehow managing well. One day, a crime branch officer Jason Fernandez (Vishwas Kini) spots her and decides to use her for an undercover operation.
The mission of this undercover operation is to bring down a drug cartel and to solve it, Bhumi has to take the garb of a prostitute. Next, we see the entry of Sasya (Vijay Verma). What happens thereon, you’ll have to see the series to find out because we can’t give away any more spoilers.
With the Mumbai Police, drug cartel and brothel in the picture, it’s a given that there would be ample use of expletives so the show is pretty high on the Beep Meter.
When it’s an Imtiaz Ali creation, you expect the characters to travel to vivid locations, but this time, the characters are traveling within themselves and not the world over. The character of Bhumi who is fierce yet vulnerable is effortlessly portrayed by Aditi Pohankar. Vijay Verma is totally at ease in his portrayal of Sasya and uff, that Hyderabadi accent!
In between, Vijay Verma’s character vanishes for a while, but then that’s the suspense. Our writers have depicted the story quite well and you will receive questions to all your answers by the end. Watch it right till the end, especially for the climax because it’s simply unimaginable.
So yes, our verdict is Binge-worthy!
